De Global Action Week for Education duurt van 25 tot en met 29 april en heeft als thema ‘education in emergencies and protracted crises’.
In het licht van alle conflicten en klimaatrampen die zich overal ter wereld voordoen en hun verwoestende impact op het recht op onderwijs van miljoenen mensen, in het bijzonder de meest kwetsbaren, is deze GAWE 2022 misschien wel belangrijker dan ooit: het is een dringende en krachtige oproep aan staten, wereldleiders en de internationale gemeenschap om onderwijs in noodsituaties te beschermen!
Dagelijks kun je een online bijeenkomst bijwonen over onderwijs in noodsituaties, vanuit verschillende regio’s bezien. De afsluitende bijeenkomst op vrijdag gaat over het recht op toegang tot onderwijs voor ontheemde kinderen en jongeren.
